Chat topics, dates and times for September 2013

We’re excited to be in our 2nd year of #AWCchat:  a one-hour, weekly online chat on Twitter where we discuss a variety of communications-related topics.

Nope, you do not have to be an AWC (Association for Women in Communications) member or a woman to participate.

The chat is held weekly, for one hour, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CST (Central Standard Time) on Thursdays. There will usually be a transcript on our Chirpstory channel if you can’t make it.

Summary transcript for 31 May 2012 #AWCchat: better business travel

Thanks to everyone who participated in our 23rd #AWCChat on Twitter, about staying sane, healthy and productive during business travel.

Four items were up for discussion:

1)   The biggie – how to pack effectively for business travel.

2)  Eating for road warriors seems to mean either too much food or starving (esp on planes.) How do you survive?

3)   What sort of lodging/hotel works best for business travel? Amenities you need? Favorite chains?

4)  Keeping track of business expenses for taxes; give us your best tips, incl. for road trips (tolls, gas, etc.)
